Research Interests

Throughout my Bachelor studies, my research encompassed testing bioleaching bacterial strains from mine tailings, identifying Mycoplasma gallisepticum in House Finches, and molecular diagnostics projects in tomatoes, strawberries, and potatoes. I also conducted the first viral metagenomic analysis of Mexican grapevines. The culmination of these projects sparked my interest in the potential of the Red Sea, particularly due to its unexplored opportunities. I believe molecular biology and ecological genomics are vital for understanding interactions among viromes, microbiomes, and the environment.
