Early Career Ocean Professional, Ali Alabyadh, joined the Saudi non-profit foundation OceanQuest on its inaugural marine research expedition around Africa aboard the vessel OceanXplorer. This collaborative mission, which began in Comoros and sailed to South Africa before a second phase proceeded north, focused on assessing biodiversity at several seamounts (underwater mountain formations).

This effort was also presented by Ali A., at the UN Ocean Conference.
