MarineMicrobiomesLab earn Golden Medal at Inventions_GVA Exhibition

The Marine Microbiomes Lab, represented by the Research Scientist Gustavo Duarte, earn Golden Medal at the @Inventions_GVA 2024 Exhibition!

The International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva is the world's largest annual event devoted exclusively to inventions and the licensing market, and at the 2024Inventions event, the Marine Microbiomes Lab showcased two different inventions developed around the research conducted at the Coral Probiotics Village (CPV). Gustavo Duarte showcased the use of the Coral AI prototype and of the 3D - VR of the CPV.

Both innovative solutions that support the areas of coral restoration ad protection were developed in collaboration with:

-Prof Khaled Salama and the Research Specialist Alexander Przybysz from the KAUST Sensing, Magnetism, and Microsystems (SMM) Research group which are responsible for the engineering around the Coral AI prototype and,

-Kaust Vizualization Core Labs and the Research Scientist Ronell Sicatt responsible for the development of the 3D VR technology that highlights the research conducted at the CPV!
