The Rising of Temperatures and Why Monitoring Coral Bleaching Matters.
Coral reefs, the vibrant underwater rainforests teeming with life, face a growing threat: coral bleaching. As ocean temperatures rise due to climate change, corals expel the colorful algae they live symbiotically with, turning stark white – a sign of stress that can lead to death.
A new resource has emerged to aid in this fight: the ICRI Coral Bleaching Hub. This initiative by the International Coral Reef Initiative (ICRI) is a central hub for information on coral bleaching.
