Marine Microbiomes Lab unveils Immersive Coral Probiotics Village    3D VR System

The Marine Microbiomes Lab has unveiled a3D virtual reality (VR) system that provides an immersive experience of the coral probiotics village, an underwater laboratory dedicated to exploring the use of coral probiotics for coral restoration and protection efforts.

The Launch Demo of the Coral Probiotics Village - 3D VR, a collaboration with KAUST Visualization Core Labs, occurred during the Trends in Microbiome and Digital One Health counting with the participation of the several conference attendees.

The Coral Probiotics Village 3D VR system allows users to virtually explore the underwater laboratory, gaining a firsthand understanding of the Marine Microbiomes Lab research activities on coral reefs and witnessing coral probiotics being applied to restore and protect the coral colonies.

The VR system has been designed to be accessible to a wide audience, including researchers, educators, students, policymakers, and the general public and It can also be used in educational settings to enhance science education and promote awareness of marine conservation efforts.
